Up Clothes & Personal
CLOTHING CONDITIONS FOR CONSIGNMENT:

UpClothes & Personal will inspect all clothing during your consignment appointment.  We will look over all clothing for any rips, stains, tears, excessive wear or missing buttons, etc.  Clothing with odors of smoke, pets or moth balls will not be accepted.  Please take care of removing all odors, pet hair and wrinkles prior to bringing your clothing to your appointment.  Any clothing meeting any of the above stated conditions will not be accepted for consignment.

We will also do another inspection during the pricing of your items.  If any rips, stains, tears, excessive wear or missing buttons are identified during this time, we will put the items aside and notify the consignor to pick up the items within 3 days as they will not move forward for consignment.  Any items not retrieved will be donated.  We do not provide donation receipts for any donations made.

PRICING:

UpClothes & Personal reserves the right to determine the prices and mark down prices during the consignment period.  The store may also have coupons or sales which will affect the final selling price.  Men's, Women's and Children's fashions are accepted - however, UpClothes & Personal may say "No Thanks" to items which do not meet the needs or styles of our customers.

PAYMENTS:

Consignment is a process where we take your items; inventory, tag, price and sell them on your behalf.  We do not purchase or pay for items in advance.

You will receive 40% of the selling price after the items are sold off the floor.  Payments are available on a monthly basis on those articles sold in the prior month by the 10th of the following month.  Each month end, all sales are reconciled for each consignor, therefore, information on sales or credit balances are not available until the 10th of the following month. A service charge of $1.00 will be deducted if a consignor requests that a payment be mailed at the end of their consignment period.  Please ensure to review the consignment contract to select your preference.

DONATIONS:

Depending on the wishes of the consignor, at the end of the consignment period, items are chosen to be donated or picked up by the consignor.  Any items donated will be the responsibility of UpClothes & Personal.  The store may choose to retain an item(s) or donate to a local charity.  We make donations of clothing directly to charities - we do not put items in any outside drop off bins.  Donation forms are not provided by UpClothes & Personal for these donations to our consignors.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR MERCHANDISE:

UpClothes & Personal will make the best effort to merchandise, care and sell for all consignments.  However, all consignments are left at the owner's risk.  UpClothes & Personal is not responsible for damage or loss by theft, fire, water, negligent handling or any other cause.
