HOW TO CONSIGN - (no drop-off's allowed - sorry no exceptions):
1. UpClothes & Personal accepts designer and brand names apparel, handbags, wallets, shoes, boots, scarves & jewelry.
2. Articles should be current style - in like new condition - no more than 3 years old. Please don't be offended if we say "NO THANKS" to items. We are keeping the needs of our shoppers in mind.
3. All items must be laundered/dry cleaned & pressed prior to bringing into UpClothes & Personal. All items will be thoroughly reviewed to ensure no odors, pet hair, rips, missing buttons, stains, marks or imperfections. Items with excessive wrinkles will not be accepted. Please review as well before bringing items to your consignment appointment.
4. Garments are accepted on hangers or gently folded into shopping bags. NO items will be accepted in trash bags! If you choose to bring your items in on specific hangers or bags which you want to retrieve your items in - please take them with you after your appointment - we cannot be responsible for storing specific hangers or bags during your consignment period.
5. Items will be consigned for a period of 12 weeks (excluding coats, formal wear, purses, wallets, jewelry and accessories). 4 weeks into the consignment your item(s) will be marked down by 25%, after 8 weeks 50%. Storewide sales & promotions may also occur during your consignment period at the discretion of UpClothes & Personal.
6. There is a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 25 items for each consignment appointment. To ensure we have time to review each of your items when you bring them in. If we can't get them out timely - we can't make you money!
7. We only accept Authentic or "inspired by" handbags, wallets, watches and jewelry. Items will be reviewed to ensure authenticity. If you have any questions - please review the zipper, buckles and stitching - for imitations - these are typically tell tale signs for detection. Any items in question may be taken to area stores (Coach, Gucci, LV) for validation as well. We want to provide our customers with the highest quality products....at the best price!
8. Consignors can ALWAYS shop against their balance!!! Please see us for your current balance and SHOP, SHOP, SHOP!!!!
9. We inventory & price all items by hand. This keeps our costs down and ensures that all items are reviewed & inventoried with the utmost accuracy & care!
Please remember to be realistic and reasonable about items you seek to consign.
